It was a great honor for me to recently be presented with the President's Insignia of Recognition, at State House in Lusaka on 24 October 2020.
The President's Insignia of Recognition is awarded to persons who have contributed to the well being of their communities, through their inventiveness and initiative.
Receiving news of this great honor, Johan said: "Thank you. I am an empty suit without Christ Jesus. All praise and glory goes to Him. Everyone of you share in this reward for without your prayers, encouragement and support, the road would have been that much more challenging. Love you all."
Johan has been actively involved in cross cultural mission work since 1997, serving in many African countries, of which his time in Zambia has been the longest. He continues to be a great asset to the community, particularly in Chavuma where he has been working alongside the local churches, donating more than 1000+ schoolbooks to local schools and overseeing the installation of 21 boreholes on the West Bank, and facilitating and encouraging the training of local church planters.
